Waiting on the Sun

Paid the woman at the desk

She asked me if it's cash or check

Essential oils are sent upon the air

An hour or so of wellness for self-care

Two small squares of dark chocolate

One or two vials of red wine

You get the bags, the candle smells of pine

Waiting for reality to strike

Anxiety is suffering, but lightly, lightly

We're waiting on the sun

The universe is very large

Expanding into who knows what

Someday the sun will shine so close, it hurts

But right now, I'm inhabiting the Earth

The eagle flying, was a sign

I saw it on my highway drive

For things to come, my spirit is alive

The scenery reflects this blinding lightly

Lightly, lightly, lightly

We're waiting on the sun
