I thought I saw you die today

On the corner by the shopping arcade

My insides melted away

Is this death or a video game?

Then I woke up in a cold sweat

You were sleeping with a steady breath

The ghosts of old friends under my bed

I swear they'll never let me sleep again

Play dead when the ships come in

Let the other boys take the beach

I can see it but I can't feel anything

I need an exit strategy

Today the checkout lady wished me well

I tried to thank her but my throat got swelled

I couldn't shake it till way after twelve

I wish I could erase myself
