Sakura blossom falling

Bright as sunlight with music

Young ones might look these nothing

Why this little brook should spring,

Keep the look of this sweet thing!

To ground, wilted flowers go bow

Heard them through the morning slow

Laid my flowers on the snow

That sensed from so smart a show

Why winter who knows ?

Rose the place, rose stillness, with all the sky

Till it reached my homesick eyes

I knew not but, she was wise

She felt no show, of the way, that she died or that she sighed

Sakura petals withdrew

Saw no other warmth she knew

Loving for the hand i knew

Slowly she teased, and pranced too.

Yield the blue and dust the blue
