Plan B (Interlude)

I’ll move to the place where my grandmother lives

Spend time in the places I played as a kid

I’ll Walk to Trevaunance to look at the see

Forget the person that I used to be

I’ll have a family and bring them up there

With freckled skin and salt in their hair

And I’ll tell them the story of the giant who was slain

When all his blood washed out to see through a cave

Maybe I’ll write a book, I’ve always loved to read

And where better to write than right by the sea

It’s a slower existence than life on the road

Where my body can rest and my heart can grow old

I won’t answer texts, the signals too bad

And part of me is guilty but most of me’s glad

That the people who matter have a landline to call

And those who don’t cannot reach me at all

And I’ll follow my big dreams

As far as they’ll take me

But I wonder sometimes

Are the dreams really mine

Or am I just a product of productive times?
