The Afro-American Conundrum (Where does that leave us?)

I can never find the words to truly express how I'm feeling

When do I even have the time to?

To have the time to sit and think about how I'm feeling?

If I could wake up and try to have a moment

It's already time to get to work

I take a break from work and then the rent's due

I pay the rent and then my cousin needs money on his commissary

I put money on his commissary and then the light bill is due

I pay the light bill just to see your face, and by then, you're already on your way out

So where does that leave us?
