Between me and Jesus, I haven't called my hometown home Since I left at 18 years old and I know it breaks my Daddy's heart Between me and Jesus, I've had more strangers in my bed Then I'd like to admit 'cause each one's left a different scar Yeah, there's just things I'd like to keep Between me and Jesus Like I'm rough around the edges I'm scared I won't get into Heaven After all that I've done and I give in to my demons More often than I should and I know damn well He wouldn't Be the one to judge, but I guess that's just The difference between, between me & Jesus I really don't let nobody in 'Cause I've felt what happens when I start to let my guard down And if I'm being honest, I haven't seen a Sunday service In a while 'cause it makes me nervous They'll all figure out Between me and Jesus I'm rough around the edges I'm scared I won't get into Heaven After all that I've done and I give in to my demons More often than I should and I know damn well He wouldn't Be the one to judge, but I guess that's just The difference between, between me and Jesus Between me and Jesus I've got a lot of questions Can you tell me where I'm headin'?
