Circus

I jumped out of the shower one day

And I noticed whatever I say

Coming true in the pleasantest way

And I noticed all day

That I could play a fun game

That I could make a square or pink picture at will

That I could paint it any way

Which means I am a circus unto myself

(I said to myself)

I’ve been watching me all day

I’m my circus

I can entertain myself

I’m my circus

I’m not heavy now I say

I’m my circus

Well I noticed I’m so full of wit

Wisdom, warmth and that’s not all of it

Fundamentally I am a glow

And what I make just shows.

I’m full of multi-layered and colourful things

That shake and flash and perfume whatever I bring

When I look at or into what I am made of

It’s endless meaning; I’m my own radio!

I’ve been watching me all day

I’m my circus

I can entertain myself

I’m my circus

I’m not heavy now I say

I’m my circus

Nothing stops me: loving wants me

So it’s marriage all day

Shifting, shaking, conjuring, making,

I don’t forage, no way!

Oh! And my wonder travels distances

Oh! And It’s me in all these instances

Oh! And I really can know anything

All I do is raise my hand

And whatever’s needed comes by
