You might see us in your doorway

when you turn out the lights

curious to know cries

that only come at night

though unholy we are sacred

forever found unclean

within the walls a heaven

we’ve that you will never see

You won’t see us in your bedroom

you must pull back the streets

we box beneath your wanders

we swim below your feet

With those half known

we sleep one on one on one
