Kites

Picture me at the land of my dreams

At the beach by the sand

On the water again

Picture me when I'm up in the sky

Holding on to my kite

I believe I can fly

But I keep falling down I'm drifting to the shore somehow

And I am seeing that I'm failing but I'm going on

Picture me when I stand on my feet

With the bar in my hand

Stormy seas and the clouds turning grey

The waves over me and I'm scared to begin

The wind is taking me so far so far behind I see

(And then you realise you're in a lucid dream)

So I'm counting my fingers

And I look at the time

I look for a mirror

And the dream becomes mine

I go to water

Just me and my kite

And the sun's coming out

And I see I can fly

Oh I can feel it that I'm flying over seas today

And my kite is somewhere else

I do this by myself

The wind is taking me away I'm living in my dream

Tonight I believe I can fly
