Eternal Irises

First of all, the stardust

And next, the ride

Off and away from us

Lead the way inside

Earth upon water

Undefined by waves abiding by it on its shore

I wouldn't know this much or more

Eternal irises close for

Not themselves but what they hold

And this is older than we're ever told

None may find a purpose

Though friends, they're all

Take it to the limit

And hit a wall

Losing to fire, but still, it's sink or swim

Blown all around like pollen on the wind
