Blank Pages

Blank pages taunt me, penned ones remind me

There's still so much out there to live for

This ink will fade, turn yellow with age

And all these words will be nothing more than thoughts

Circles we spin

Bridges we burn

Just to forget what we've left behind

All of these late nights

Paired with the long drives

One day we'll look back and realize what we've lost

I've covered lost ground

The walls are closing in

We'll see who laughs when I'm the last one standing
