I Want To Live Like Jesus

When the Lord first saved me, He gave me a love

For everything the Bible had to say

I learned about Jesus, and all He’s overcome

And that’s when I began to pray

“Master, teach me more than I ever knew before

Show me things that I’ve never seen

I want to follow You, in everything I do

A disciple…is what I want to be”!

Oh, I…I want to live…like Jesus every day (every day)

I want to walk in the glow of a heavenly light

And lend a helping hand along the way

I want to give (comfort for the mourners)...I want to show (scripture to the scorners)

I want to share (wisdom for the seeker)...I want to know (love for the believer)

When I think about the call of Peter, James and John

To cast their nets aside and follow Him

They fished for a livin’ their whole lives long

But now it was time to fish for men

Something deep inside that couldn’t be denied

Drew them to this man of Galilee

He showed them how to live…He taught them to forgive

And Jesus…will do the same for me!
