Cardinally, ordinally, above, and below

I am she imbued with the power of the devas

Wielder of the trident of Shiva

The Sudarshan chakra of Vishnu

Holder of Brahma's Kamandala

Indra's devastating thunderbolt

Vayu's bow and quiver with infinite arrows

Brandishing Varuna's conch

Agni's burning spear and Yama's sword

Swinging Vishwakarma's hammer

Of the bones of Dadhichi

Emitting Surya's blinding rays

I cut down my enemy's army

I alone stand to face him

He who is lion, elephant, snake and buffalo

With my trident, the death blow is struck

Beyond resuscitation, my discus decapitates

I bid farewell for a future time

The need is now, we appeal to you

Who is beyond defeat, the unassailable one
