Since Leaving Home

I’m miles away from the place I once called home

Where I spend my childhood, with my friends from down the road

I imagined growing up and making my dreams come true

I pictured falling in love & and growing old with you

Life didn’t go as planned

Heartbroken and lost all of those friends

Since leaving home I’ve become someone new

Since leaving home I found a better version of you

But somedays it is really hard, somedays remind me of my scars

But since I left my hometown & I turned my whole life around 

Its been awhile since I thought about our plans

We dreamed of traveling the world & making friends

As I look back and see I life I used to know

You were always there in all the highs and lows

Now nothing is the same as what it used to be

Now we’re nothing but a fading memory 

Things changed since you walked away

Some nights i wonder what could have been if I stayed
