I get to looking at the TV and the time fades

Wonder if it’s all just part of the plan

Never even questioned it for my sake

I don’t want my grandkids under the spell

I took a shorty on a wine date

I don’t even know the color her eyes

At least we got a chance to hydrate

While I think about impending demise

That’s where my mind goes every time

I start to question if I need to be sober

Overthinking bout when it’ll be over
