Before there was time

Before there was the sun

Before there was space

Before the cosmic shattering begun

The pieces and the fragments of our sparks were dispersed

Soaring cross the heavens, igniting all the universe

From the earth we all emerged, as our tree of life expands

So we are all connected by the roots of her guiding hands

So it pains me to see

Our cousins begging to be free

Why must we hurt each other?

When we are all apart of Her?

I say No more!

You know I never believed in war

Can you hear Her children crying

Or will you only listen to the politicians lying?

All this destruction is so evil

Won’t you listen to the people?

It’s true my people have suffered for thousands of years

But that don’t mean we must spread hundreds of thousands more tears

I pray the people with their eyes shut tight

Will open their hearts and see the light

I’ve always known that life is sacred

That we must always stand up to all kinds of hatred

We have to find another way

I cannot bare to watch another day

What purpose is this serving?

They say we can’t afford public healthcare or education

But somehow we can afford to fund death and devastation?

You know these politicians are filling up their pockets

Cause their portfolio’s are invested in those rockets

We refuse to stand by and live with regret

We the people have seen and won’t soon forget

Come November you’d better have done more than “tried”
