I Stood For A Moment

I stood for a moment

Descending the stairs

To admire the tree

Still there

Blossoms sleek

Barely born

Cast their faces skywards

Greeting the dawn

And in that moment of reprise

That second to breathe

I feel I’m doing something worthwhile

In which I believe

And it’s a gentle reminder

To stop and be silent

If just for a moment.
