Alley

I see the cafe where we used to sit

the bitter coffee was sweeter than kiss

the corner bookstore where we used to read

thought every story was written for we

a little strange when I walked with you

I thought that all the alleys looked the same

But as I walk I see how they have their names

that bring me the scent I can’t tame

do you feel the same too

when you’re out in the streets where we used to stroll

every corner I turn

I can’t help thinking that I’d run into you

we used to ride the bike all through the town we got

the beautiful sunset just beyond the bridge we caught

in every picture I took you were always a part

everywhere the footprints marked
