It Will Rain

In a sky of paper aeroplanes.

And bullets made of glass

An egg shell heart, beats beneath my skin.

Words are weaved then cast aside,

They vanish in the air

It’s all the moon can do to stem the tide.

We watch our dreams, as they decay

The more you reach, they pull away

Nothing great ever came with ease

The hour glass and sands of time

Measures of in steep decline

Like Sisyphus with his shoulder to the stone

You fight to keep your ship on course.

Whilst all around you fade

Tied to the mast and scream into the storm.

if you can hear the siren song.

And resist the urge to sing along

Silence brings its own integrity.

As I turn the light on me

The world around me fades

A picture speaks the words for us instead

All I every got from hate, was damage to myself

But forgiveness is road that lays ahead
