Stay At Home Mom

We settled down, when we said I do

I wanted four, you wanted two

We had three, and I remember the first one

You didn’t want to go to work and leave her with someone

So I said stay at home mom

I know your days will be long

But soon you’ll look back and wish it wasn’t all gone

Them crying out of nowhere while you’re brushing their teeth

Fighting with each other while you play referee

I know that you’ll have bad days

But I hope that most are good

No one can raise them like you would

Now the clothes are in the kitchen, dishes in the room

The house is a mess and days you feel like you’re one too

But I promise you baby, this is just a phase

It wont be long and we’ll be missing younger days
