at the weekly meet and greet

what brings you here, why did you leave

a different version for every person

I'm less and less convinced

 

I know we said we didn't wanna get good at goodbyes

with every person, I get nervous that it's the same ending in disguise

Practicing embracing vulnerability

Accustomed to the star-crossed probability

It's alright, it doesn't have to be a waste of time

how can one condense themselves into a sentence?

how can one find it so easy to make conversation

on all the places, people, trauma that shaped them?

i don't know how though i try my best to relate

all my experiences, unspoken

my mouth is shut my ears are open

my eyes are shut my arms are open

I think you're cool too

sadly, I'm just passing through

I'll keep you in mind
