Well I tried to write witty lines and cliche rhymes to get you to see

I can write about broke down trucks, red solo cups or double shots of whiskey

Yeah it’s hard to make ground in this funky little town or at least enough to get ahead

I don’t mind telling old drunk stories bout nights that never end

I’m lying in bed every night trying to find that song

But I got all kinds of half written lines all the way from soul to country

I got rhythm and blues, jazz infused, funk and rock in my blood
