MATTER OF TIME

It’s a matter of working not making wishes

I spend the time I have working on dishes

I tell my story in bars to make you listen

At the end of the year 23 on Christmas

I wrote a letter addressed it to family members

Saying I’m changing our life I really meant it

My biggest gift I’ve had and that I’ve given

What’s more than money in worth? Giving a feeling

Of breaking curses with generational living

No more EBTs or easy pickings

We had roaches, no roaches finna be living

Inside our quarters, a quarter is all I’m missing

Did I mention my plan to go and achieve it all

I’m working harder than ever never taking a weekend off

This is my journey and journey hasn’t hit peak at all

I’m moving through my mission my story don’t pvp at all

Not the comparison type don’t compare me at all

Of course I got my hero’s my hero’s they can’t me at all

My biggest hero, dad he really seen it all

He could’ve made me murder but really made me a piece of art

So imma take the brush that he gave and paint me a way

I do it for myself but I also do it for they
