When I say you’re ugly I don’t mean your face

I mean why you think you should be in the human race

You do ugly things to good people everyday

Lord almighty find a path that leads a different way

We’re going to stop the guns from going to wrong hands

A killer killing for the thrill is hard to understand

A gun for everyone law from way back yesterday

What I’m tryin’ to say is today means today

And then I hear two words dictator government

State militias don’t have arms to back that argument

Life is so precious you only get one turn

Love, peace and happiness just words we haven’t learned

I found myself very sad when I wrote this song

I know I’m not so smart but I do know right from wrong

This suicide, this great divide, this torn democracy

Everybody seems so stressed and freedom don’t come free

I guess if I de-valued life like many people do

Only thinking ‘bout myself and never about you

I am so much older now and I have lived a lot

Trust me when I say we can’t keep what we have got

A corporation government makes me feel un-ease

I’m so old so if a change comes zip-file if you please

Life became so precious and I’ve paid for what I’ve earned

Too bad if it changes I’ve used my last turn
