I hear, in the night

something strange

At first it disappears then comes back again

I can feel it, I can taste it in the air tonight

Hard to be certain so I linger for a little while

And I breathe a single sigh and it soothes me

My stomach turns

I grow concerned

And start to flee

If you don't mean it then don't say it

I seek the solace of the silence so I think you'll find

Too many institutes will preach to you with false prophets

And that feeling

As the rot sets in

And I feel it

Sinking in

It's like a liquid

One that's highly addictive
