In the blackness it lingers

A beast of twisted hate

With talons sharp as sorrow

Eyes that desecrate

It murmurs through the void

A voice questioning fate

Bound by chains of torment

This creature won't release

Dragging me through shadows

Where nightmares never cease

Grief's grotesque shadow

Depression's vile embrace

This repugnant creature owns me

I'm cursed suffocate

It's gaze a hollow pit

Reflecting my own dread

A mirror to my agony

Where all hope is dead

It feasts upon my dreams

Devours every spark

A leech of suffering

Ensnaring in the dark

Rip tear claw at this disease

Burn this beast alive

Bring it to its knees

In the ashes of despair

Let anger be the guide

From the chains of grief

Collapse shatter relinquish to the night
