Most of our friends have made their choices

And sometime I hear a voice it says,

“You still have time.”

Then I think of what you told me that he said,

But he’s just lonely I remind myself

His dreams are not mine

And is it selfish doing something for ourselves

Everyone else is - only difference is

The choice we made, it goes against the grain

We kept saying, “When we’re older - five more years,”

Now we’re five over but my mind has changed.

What will happen when we’re older?

Could get hard, might be alone

And will we still feel this way?
