Yo
It’s Chaddy
Yo, yo
A lot of folk I used to hang with in the past
’Til we switching up different paths, I’m just wondering where they at
‘Cuz I miss ‘em, and know the homies are focused on making ends
I just wanna know how ya been, been a min’ since I seen ya, friend, yo
A lot of peeps I used to roll with in the past
We should catch up like we used to, just wanna know where you at
And how’s the missus, my mellow, it’s been a minute
Wish we could kick it more often, man, all my homies, I miss ‘em
There used to always be a squadron that I’d roll with
Got some mates at my disposal, never catch me riding solo
Never used to be a problem getting too destroyed
Now looking back on life choices, some fights we should have avoided ‘cuz
People come and go in life and that’s the realest shit
Plenty acquaintances, only closeys I’m dealing with
For all the folks I ain’t seen a bit, hope you’re feeling missed
Just trying to make it to the top until the ceiling’s hit
I hope that y’all don’t get it twist, this isn’t blame
To anyone who never reached out ‘cuz honest I did the same
Sometimes this life ain’t the greatest and gets me down
So I’m making an effort now and reaching out to every pal
Maybe hard to relate a bit, to some that have settled down
And that’s an obvious answer when the question’s “where are they now?” 'cuz
We all go through different phases, rearranging
Thugs change and love changes and close friends become strangers
A lot of folk I used to hang with in the past
’Til we switching up different paths, I’m just wondering where they at
‘Cuz I miss ‘em, and know the homies are focused on making ends
I just wanna know how ya been, been a min’ since I seen ya, friend, yo
A lot of peeps I used to roll with in the past
We should catch up like we used to, just wanna know where you at
And how’s the missus, my mellow, it’s been a minute
Wish we could kick it more often, man, all my homies, I miss ‘em
Some of my friends would get together every weekend
Not sure when it changed, it went from that to never speaking and
It might be me I know some folks that may be soured
So I don’t get invited to weddings or baby showers
I wanna skate around and paint some tags with Forfa
Hit up Duffins with my man Shaungoose and eat a torta
Listen to my neighbour, Dan, sing and play his piano
Of his favourite song until the rain is gone like Frankie Ano
So some are just distant memories, some were bad but then some were fun
So if you’re still alive, we should link up and make some other ones
I hope your parents, siblings, wife, and kids are healthy
Something I’ve learned is possessions don’t make you wealthy
The people do, the more that time goes on it’s feeling true
So what’s the status of relationship in me and you?
It’s not a diss, I hope my folks all get the picture
Just want you all to know I really miss ya
A lot of folk I used to hang with in the past
’Til we switching up different paths, I’m just wondering where they at
‘Cuz I miss ‘em, and know the homies are focused on making ends
I just wanna know how ya been, been a min’ since I seen ya, friend, yo
A lot of peeps I used to roll with in the past
We should catch up like we used to, just wanna know where you at
And how’s the missus, my mellow, it’s been a minute
Wish we could kick it more often, man, all my homies, I miss ‘em
