Eula came from the Isle of Skye

And the Cuillin Mountain Range

On stormy seas, she set sail

Though her heart still remained

She landed on the eastern shore

West Virginia called her name

But the life she found up in those hills

He came down from Portsmouth town

And took Eula for his bride

But lying in her wedding bed

Eula only cried

Another morning came and went

One more bruise upon her face

She walked softly in his presence

But could not still his rage

           

He heard her pull the trigger

Then, on the ground he lay

She let him draw his final breath

Then washed his blood away
