Light bends round the heart.

Blood swells, vessels bulge.

Head swims, soul gasps.

Last days, final rites.

The lament of all things in the dying light of the day.

A wraith borne of torment, a shadow under the veil.

The failure of ancient good.

Fear soaked delusions.

The absence of any joy has left me defeated.
