Lost and Worn

I’ve been hiding from myself,

Stuck in cycles I can’t break.

Every word I say, every move I make,

Feels like a lie I can’t escape.

My hands are shaking, my heart’s on fire,

I’ve built these walls, now I’m stuck inside.

I tell myself I’ll change this time,

But I can’t seem to leave the past behind.

I’m drowning in a sea of things I don’t need.

Fighting these demons that swallow me whole.

Shattered reflection, I can’t recognize,
