Woke up this morning if we're calling that sleep

The wolves outside laying waste to the sheep

My stomach is empty though my heart is full

My vision has failed me can’t see thru the wool

It's so easy to die but so hard to live

Can't say goodbye ‘cause I've got more to give

This year's been worse than the one before

And the few prior to seemed worse all the more.
