I’m like the man on the TV

Pour out a poor little line

Just to get your attention

Steal a little more of your time

Why are you distracted

They say you only get what you give

And you’re slurring your words

And I feel like an idiot

But, why do you have to get drunk

To say what’s wrong?

Why can’t you

Just shoot straight for once?

I can only imagine

What you won’t say to me

It’ll never be easy

If we keep having nights like these
