Teach me to forgive

Show me how to live

Not hold onto the hate

To not carry the pain

And give me the strength

To face the day

To show up and be brave

So many questions

Searching for answers

Longing to hear you

Longing to feel you

And where do we go from here?

Why do we feel so much fear?

Why do we run away?

Knowing that we should stay

Please hear my prayer to thee

Heal us and give us peace

Show up for the least of these

And teach us to love

Like gifts from above

And give me the grace

To not shoulder the weight

And God if you could please

Give our hearts some relief

Bring hope to the grieving

And bandage the bleeding

Show us how we go from here

Deliver from all the fear

Bring silence to all who hate

And teach us to love anyway
