Daniel was very wise. He was very blessed by God. The king wanted

Daniel to rule all the land, but the other wise men were becoming

Jealous. They wanted Daniel to look bad, but Daniel always prayed

To God. He was a good man. The men couldn't make Daniel look bad

So they came up with a plan. They went to the king, and they said

"Let's create a new law. Everyone must pray to the king. If they

Don't, we can throw them to the lions." Well, the king liked this

And made it a law. Daniel knew of this law, but he prayed anyway

In his room. The men saw Daniel praying and said, "Throw Daniel to

The lions." The king liked Daniel. He was sad, but he could not

Change the law. Daniel was thrown to the lions, and the plan had

Worked. The king woke up early the next morning. He

Found Daniel alive in the lion's den. The happy king

Asked, "Did God save you?" Daniel said yes, and the

King took him out of the den. The Lord had saved him
