Old papers cover up the sofa / ive adjusted to this mess

When i need a place to put a glass down / every surface is taken over

Rain drips on the kitchen counter / at least it wont hit the ground

Cuz all the trash soaks up the rush of / water trapped in the floor above us

Wipe the tv stand

Keep checking

The basement’s still remaining dry

Go

Stop

This place screams out for attention / drowned out by a winning season

A car’s the only haven / from feeling overwhelmed and settling

Into a daze

Freeze up when thinking how to clean it all

Heaped boxes of useless things

Freeze when thinking how to clean them out
