I'm heave on my walk to purpose

I wish I knew enough to see beyond the surface

I'm outta body so my body won't receive the sermon

My spirit bleeds while my body breathes, that's my honest verdict

I need direction, I need to feed off my own discernment

I follow sheep, I'm not man enough to reject the serpent

A piece of mind is no peace of mind, that's a heavy burden

I need to leave, but not ready to pull the final curtain

"Who am I?" Asked my shadow

Are you a son of man or a son of God?

A pseudo-king or a king of my own fate?

There's no reason why

I'll seek truth in the darkest minds

Unless He don't tell me why, I wanted to nearly die

I wanted to see the light, I wanted Him to talk to me

So I can just sit and cry, like, really cry

Like feel the spirit so far inside you can see his eyes

Through my eyes so I never have to be vilified

They really tried

Tried to take all the truth from me, I'm still alive

I hang with brothers who shoot for me

They cultivate all my being, it's not just rootin' for me

It's good for me

They elevate and live full for me

I pray to God, the world loosens what they done took from me

Don't need to fear them delegated it truthfully

And fear God, the fear never been usefully

And fear losin' the gift of molding my dreams for me

Sing for me pain, sing for me shame, sing for me

Pray for me mama, pray for me papa, pray for me

Take from me, don't shy away, don't pull away from me, take from me

I made mistakes that then made it to being great for me

Lessons learned, reenacted and then erased from me

So take from me, I came for you, stride with me

Don't be afraid to see life through me, fly with me
