The Last Request

Woke up with the blues today, I got the news I failed the test

Settle my affairs, so now I have to share my last request

Gonna meet my Maker, tell the undertaker do your best

Cause I want to go there in a light blue mohair suit and vest

I’ll have to cancel every single engagement

I’ll have to start to make my final arrangements

Now you know the score, so promise me before I’m laid to rest

I know it’s tough but you must try not to worry

I’ll soon be suffering the big coronary

Don’t call an attorney when I make the journey to my rest

Didn’t make a will, there’s nothing in the till, so don’t protest
