There is a light

There is a light

It watches from behind the clouds

And lights up the morning

Where it smells like the day we met

And yet

This air persists long after you're gone

And I walk up the block

'Cause I have no reason anymore

So I get on the first bus I see

And it takes me to where

I used to do theatre

With my friends that I knew for only three weeks

And they would say I was their best friend

Though they hardly knew me

But they heard me sing for the very first time and said that

I should continue with this strange endeavour

And their words stuck with me

Long after they're gone

So now I walk back to where you are

Where you are gently sleeping

And I see the sky that will wake you up

Gently, unlike how they did

A couple months ago

Like a Texan tornado

Whirlpool coming in through the brambles

And totally destroying everything in its path

But now

You are awoken only by nature
