A Dying Dream

My ghost will never leave

It's who I've come to be

From years of countless tears

And hiding from my fears

My soul has many scars

From all the ones I love

Turning all their backs on me

After all I have is gone

My hopes

My dreams

Many times

Have been stolen straight from me

From the ones that I held closest

To my heart

And now it's tearing me apart and I can't trust

My signs or anyone and

I'm just scarred

It's tearing me apart

I beg in desperation

Grant My heart serenity

For every tear these eyes have sheds a dying dream

I never thought my obstacles would be to shut

Out everybody I thought I loved

It's like my closest friends turn into enemies

Every time that I expose them

To all my closest dreams

And so

I'll do this on my own

Empty promises are just a waste of time

From all the mountains that I've climbed

I'll say I did it on my own this time

And maybe one day

Everyone will see

That all the shit they put me through

Is what motivated me
