The Voice of Flowers

The sun is a gentle fire

Sedating the world in hazy slumber

Through rays vast billows unfold

Dazzling like opal and gold

The lustre of years foretold

Each day lives only a day old

Time withers like wind

Trembles, decays from within

From ankles flourish feathered wings

Traverse the lands, hearkening

The voice of flowers

And other silent things

The waning glow of daylight

In your shadows I find respite

Oceans of lapis and green

Shimmer with the purest sheen

To the furthest crevices of the earth

We voyaged through death and birth

The sky was luminous and whole

Cleansing the chasms of our souls
