Sunny Monday

One day I'll see sunny days

Sunday was overcast but I'll see the sun Monday

All through the week I seen the rain come down, under my umbrella it rains as hard as ever, trying to be reminded of a sunny Monday

I'ma do one that's just for me and it might just be just what I need

I probably should be asleep and dreaming but I'm gonna do what I'ma gonna do

I need to take a minute to myself, want to find a way to find a way

There's something right to say, but I get lost when it comes down to too much talking

So, if I'm out of key consider that I'm only trying to say something inside of me that tends to leave me screaming

You could find me under the weeping willow waiting for a break in the stormy weather

One of these days when the rain is done, the sun will come out and I'll be the one to say,

Well, that was worth the wait.

Most folks maybe lose a little bit of faith

Maybe I do, but don't stay that way

I hope you see my face the day I finally get to say, "Hey, I always knew it."
