I've been taking time to reflect

All my memories on rewind

Why would I quit, throw my time away

To chase a different path instead

That some kind of demon

Tryna toy with my head

Not seeing my will too strong

And I'm sticking to my plan

People projecting insecurities

Tryna tell me I can't

Hating me for removing the T

And letting it spill in the sand

I'm too busy to waste any time

Letting the hate and weight of the world

Put my mind into disarray

No shame to the ones that do

It's a natural way to react to pain

Whether physical or from thoughts In the brain

We human, no two of us are ever made the same

So I can't ask you to think the same way

That my brain does

Or handle a paint brush

To illustrate your path to becoming great

See nobody teaches you

How to be one of a kind

But how could they

Without knowing your mind

Without knowing your drives

And where you're destined to find

Blessings and peace of mind

They can only say

You'll learn with time

Whether that days, weeks

Months or years

Or five minutes on rewind

Maybe you cry tears

Not understanding not everything

As easy as it appears

Not everything is crystal clear

Until it is here

Can be seen in a crystal sphere

Only thing certain is

We have to live out our lives

Could be one day it's taken

By guns and knives

Or go up in fire

Misdirected by lies

Just to waste precious time

Put you on a path besides

What fate has already aligned

For you to tread as long as stay

Between the lines, speaking of lines

Read between them

As I reflect on mine

You have to have courage

But people's view of it is false

Being brave is knowing your fears and taking them on

Accepting your doubts

And proving them wrong

Standing on the other side

And knowing you won

Realizing every day a battle

There's not just one

And true success only exists

In what we leave

That's just the truth

Things old transcend

That goes on to live forever
