Waiting

Something fell into my lap

Is it the right color

The right size

Or am I going to have to send it back

Waiting

Would you look at that

I let it die I let if fly

I let it pass on right through me

Can't ever say that it knew me

Dry mouth

Sanded eyes

Desert heart

A little sprinkled water

Is not going to end this drought

One bucket alone will just tease the dry well

A little oil in the cracks

Then it's straight back to hell

And here I am

The rainmaker

The sun shining

The faker

Yes here I am

The wind howling

I'm the dog crawling

It comes from all over

Doing its best

To give a worried mind

A little peace and rest

But comfort and passion

Is offered in vain

Now I'm waiting again
