The Tower

Deep in the forest

The moonlight bright

A path leads

Into the night

Thorn spikes

Bird calls

A dark shadow

Flies by

I lay my ear

To a trunk

Listen

Into the dark

The fingers stroke

Over moss

Smell rottenness

Have to go again

Turning in circles

Cold sweat

Stretch out my hand

Into no man's land

My voice breaks down

Swallowed by fear

I lay on the ground

Something is near

I hear your breath

I smell your soul

You cannot hide

Your inner side

Further and further

Deep into black

I stand before a tower

Stretching my neck

Tower of night

Stone over stone

Where is your light

In your lonely throne?

Tower of night

Where is your light?

Through the old gate I enter inside

Climb up the stairs all the way to the top

I open the door

Chamber of fear

And see therein

The mirror of myself
