Hourglass

Time keeps moving on

So I guess I'll go along

But what else could I do

Before my time is through

When I was younger I didn't understand

That time is very precious and you can hold it in the palm of your hand

Just go to school and you'll be fine

You don't need to worry about this thing called time

And year after year they all disappear

They turn into sand filling up this glass

And it won't be long before it's all gone

And I'll be forever trapped in here

I'm stuck in an hourglass

And time moves oh so fast

One minute you're here the next you're gone

And then you're near but not for long

Nowadays I've learned to understand

Don't take anything for granted 'Cause it's all hanging by a strand
