For all that I don’t know

After searching high and low

What I have found

Is there are places I should never go

 

I have seen the fire

And I have felt the searing heat

Been in the freezing rain

It can feel so much the same to me

And I came in from a hurricane

Feeling like I lost something in the storm

While I need sheltering

I need the windows

 

I’ve been in the sun

And I have envied you in your shade

And I’ve been in the dark

Looking for the light that you radiate
