The Parrish

There is a Steeple in the dim morning light

And when I close my eyes, I can see it so bright

Like an apparition it looks Broken and thorn

Reflects the feeling of my life since I was born

I wish this was my home, my light, my guidance

It shows me the way to my inner penance

The serenity it brings makes me so thankful

Like a moth drawn to the light I walked to the gate

The holy scripture is carved in stone, and it shows their faith

The members of the congregation are so calm

They live their lives like the words from a psalm
