歌詞
"Here it comes again!"
"Step right up, folks – this is the one and only Medicine Show"
People made me in the city of The D
They never underestimate the talents from my team
Know the style got ’em coming from miles around
Loops is soundin' rare, everybody with their hands in the air
I’m collecting my paper like a pimp, "Go get it" ("Bitch!")
Get money, yeah, pun intended when we got J Rocc
You know Supreme Team’s in your auditorium, yo
In the morn, got to pray to the Most High, give thanks
We mumbling words, stumble on samples like Peaches and Herb
And Madlib and 'Riem Riggins, known to pull a shovel out
Dig a hole in your local record store, coming out
With records by Roy Haynes and Elvin Jones
At night we doing shows, turntables, microphones
We can hit you with that, we bound to get you in the zone
While I’m speaking to my people, I represent my home
In the D, you know your mellow’s never wearing flip-flops
You know my beat knocks, so what you can beatbox?! ("Bitch!")
You know they say I’m like the microphone fiend
Who likes to say interesting ["kaza'kallamuejis"]
I like to talk about getting cash in astronomical amounts
Journalists try and reach, to do interviews about it
And they ask me about it
“'Riem, when did your self-esteem sprout
And when you brainstorm, what you think about?”
And she asked, will Supreme Team move her body? Tsk, uh
It’s ultra-hot, I’m a hip into the hop
Never fumble when we drop the beat [*static*], yo
I’m on a mission, and my people gonna understand that we
Study divine syncopation, rhythm certainly
For the clones, Thanksgiving, I’m like Indian giving back ("Huh?!")
Black sheep like "this" and "that," and I like to ride a seven forty-five
‘Cause that’s my firin' squad
Light the green like a light show, yo
Some sneaky trifling like –
A snake slithers in the gravel in the night, an'– ("What'd you say?!")
Stab me in the back, jab me with a knife in
You really hating on a classic team just like the Vikings
("Why is that?")
You know the J Massamba Unit so exciting
("Why do you think that is?")
Wondering if I wrote the words I’m reciting?? Yeah!
Supreme Team make the music all night! ("Bitch!")
("...Oh!")
[SF] ...Oh! Well, there we are, we don't have to ask anybody else, we got that from the source! There, there you are...
[JB] Haaaaaaaaaaaaa!
[JB] Where ya at??!???
[ODB sample] ("Bitch!")
[SF] We want to thank you for having, for being with us today and giving us an opportunity...
[JB, interrupting] Wait a minute, I just got here!
[JB] No, it's all over...
[SF] Is there something--
[JB] Huh?!
[JB] --more that you want to say?
[JB] Yeah! I want to say a lot of things!
[JB] Danke schön
[JB] I love America, I love everybody!
[SF] ...really--
[JB, interrupting] I feel good!
[JB] Get up off'a that thing!
[JB] I feel good!
[SF] Yeah, sounds to me...
("Aaaaalright!")
You know, this lady walked in the bar and called for drinks on the house
"Drinks on the house!" she told the bartender
So after the bartender serves everybody the drinks, he told the lady –
He said, "Lady, that will be 63 dollars"
The lady said, "Well, I don't have any money with me..."
So, the bartender says, "Well, how you gonna pay for all those drinks??!"
So she pull her dress up, and said, "...with this"
And the bartender looked at her, and thought for a while –
"...Don't you have anything smaller?"
