i had a dream last night

about a bike ride

with all the kids i grew up with

and haven’t talked to since

squeezed my arms so tight

almost felt it

like you meant it

how i felt it

i wish trent didn’t hurt my friends

we’d get one more round of manhunt and we’d never talk again

not sure if you remember it

but i loved you then

and it’s been weeks since i got out of bed

 but i think i reached out to christain next

asked if bella’s still around

see how the kid turned out

and i know that none of it’s fair

cuz i’ll leave the state but first i’ll see you everywhere

and i don’t miss the splinters on ur porch

but i miss staying up til 9

i miss my buzzcut even more

when old meant mean

when we were green

roll down a hill

and ruin my jeans

talk about girls

and go to sleep
